Dr. Alan R. Price is the one of the world’s leading experts in conducting investigations and reviewing allegations and reports on inquiries and investigations of scientific misconduct or research misconduct --

Dr. Price served from 1989 to 2006 as Scientist-Investigator, Branch Chief, Division Director, and Associate Director for Investigative Oversight of the Office of Research Integrity (ORI),

working for United States Public Health Service (PHS) agencies in the Federal Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

He created in 2006 Price Research Integrity Consultant Experts (P.R.I.C.E.) to consult on research misconduct cases.

Dr. Price is available to assist counsels, institutional officials, and individuals with his unique misconduct expertise. He will:

 
• investigate or review and make expert comments on allegations, evidence, investigative processes, draft inquiry and investigation reports, proposed sanctions and administrative actions, etc., through telephone calls or E-mail communication

 
• write expert reports with analyses of whether allegations, evidence, and findings would fall under the Federal/ORI definition of scientific or research misconduct and would rise to the level (or not) of previous cases and findings by ORI

 
• testify at committee meetings or hearings of committees assigned to evaluate evidence or findings of scientific/research misconduct

• and provide expert advice or testimony on misconduct for civil suits or inequitable-conduct charges in patent-infringement suits.
